7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari

DAY 1: ARUSHA

Upon  arrival attat Kilimanjaro airport, you will be received by our company representative who will be your drive/guide who will brief upon your arrival about your trip and transfer you to your area of accommodation to freshen up and have some rest.

Meals and Accommodation: Iboru Safari Lodge or similar.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO L. MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After an early morning breakfast at our lodge, we willmwill transfer to MANYARA National park and on our way we will visit Mto wa Mbu village, a vibrant settlement of Tanzania’s diverse tribal groups. You will enjoy a guided walk through the village, visiting the local market and meeting artisans in their workshops; we will then  sit down for a traditional lunch with a local family. Later on we continue to the Rift Valley escarpment for our safari drive to discover East Africa’s legendary wildlife, searching for lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and more after which settle into our safari camp for dinner and over night stay at our lodge.

3: TRANSFER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After an early morning breakfast we  travel through the Rift Valley to a Maasai village. Here, we learn about the G Adventures–supported Clean Cookstoves Project, dedicated to providing clean-burning cookstoves to Maasai communities throughout Tanzania. Enjoy a presentation by a Masaai woman on the impact of the project, and take a guided tour of the village, visiting traditional homes or bomas and helping build a new stove. Continue to our safari camp in Serengeti National Park, we have a stop over en route at the Olduvai Gorge Museum and Visitor’s Centre—located near the site where National Geographic archaeologists Louis and Mary Leakey discovered early hominid fossils and stone tools in 1960. We later arrive at our lodge check-in to the service of our accommodation dinner and overnight stay.

4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After a morning breakfast at our lodge, we will head into the Wilderness to discover the park’s iconic creatures at sunrise, and set out in a 4x4 on morning and afternoon safaris through the golden grasslands. With luck, spot all of Africa’s “big five”—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Later, visit the Serengeti Wildlife Research Centre, and enjoy a talk by one of the visiting researchers. Later in the evening relax off at your lodge for refreshments, dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO NGORONGORO NP.

After an early morning breakfast with our lagguge, we check out of our servic of accommodation and depart for Ngorongoro National Park with a lunch enroute and entering the park with a game drive as we look out for the park’s wild denizens. We later check into our service of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at our lodge.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO - ARUSHA

After our morning breakfast, we will head out to Ngorongoro Crater, this is the largest non-flooded caldera in the world and is inhabited by some 25,000 animals, it spans over 20km in diameter. We will desscend into this green-walled paradise early in the morning on safari. As you ride past herds of zebra and flocks of flamingo, keep your eyes peeled for a pride of lions. Enjoy a lunch in the wild as we continue with our game drive. Later in the evening return to our services of accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: ARUSHA

After a morning breakfast, with our lagguge, checkout of our service of accommodation then hit the road to transfer back to Arusha where you will be drop off at your hotel or airport depending on your program for your next destination.
